Deidra Price

My name is Deidra Price.  I was born and raised here in the Kansas City, MO area and have always loved styling hair.  Fast-forward to my adult life, I was working part-time in various office jobs but I still felt like something was missing.  After being natural for three years, I finallly found a salon that did natural hair.  Eventually, I asked her to teach me and she offered me an apprenticeship.  Finally, my dream come true!  I can become a beautician like my Grandma Bradshaw!

I apprenticed from April 2009 to December 2013, learning various techniques and styles.  In January 2014, with encouragement from a little birdy (Dominique), I ventured out and opened my Lavish Locks Salon Suite.  There I specialized in Sisterlocks™ and Interlocks. My clients followed me to my new salon and I was able to establish many more clients.  A few more words from Dominique encouraged me to complete my State Board Cosmetology Test and I now have my State License for Missouri.  My dreams and goals have been officially reached.

Starting in January 2017, I will have a new home at Naturally Unique Salon and Boutique.  I’ve been blessed to have a great support system and I’m finally at a point where I have a balance in my work and personal life. When you do what you love, it’s never a job!

I’m excited about the new move since it’s a place where my clients will be happy and still receive the one-on-one attention that they love.  God has worked it out for ALL of US!
