Hello, I’m Dominique Christian. Welcome to Naturally Unique Salon.

Walk with me briefly as I take you on my career journey.

I have always had an obsession with hair. At six years old, I watched my mom braiding hair and would ask her to show me.  Her response would always be, “Next time.”  After some time of impatiently waiting for her to show me, I got my baby doll and watched her hands as she braided.  From doing that, I quickly learned how to braid.  At fourteen, I started my formal journey, working as a shampoo girl in a family salon.  I eventually attended hair school and graduated in 2010 with a Cosmetology CA license.

I founded Naturally Unique Salon in 2013 as a single stylist, focusing on providing natural hair care services to the Kansas City Metro area.  I am a certified Sisterlock (R) consultant and also provide services for locs, loose hair, color and cuts.  I stay up-to-date on changing hair trends and take continuing education classes around the world to provide my clients with the latest styles.   I take pride in specializing in natural hair of all ethnicities and textures.

The business has been growing rapidly with happy clients from all walks of life.  My dream has always been to open a storefront salon and in October 2016, this dream has come true.  Thanks for coming along with me for the ride of my dreams!
